A Head Spa Designed to Help You Arrive
Inspired by Ayurveda, India’s traditional holistic system of health, the VedaFusion Head Spa brings together Shirodhara, Brahmi scalp oiling, singing bowls, reflexology, marma-inspired touch, guided sensory awareness and intentional rest.
Rather than filling the experience with continuous water stimulation, the ritual moves deliberately between sound and silence, movement and stillness, focused attention and expanded awareness. Your practitioner gently helps give your attention somewhere simple to land — a sound, the movement of warm oil, your breath, intentional touch or the feeling of your body resting on the table.
Ayurveda looks at care through qualities, rhythm, balance and the relationship between body, mind and environment. At VedaFusion, those principles guide the pace of your session, the sensory environment, oils, temperature, touch and the balance between stimulation and stillness.

The Experience
You Came for the Head Spa.
Stay for the Exhale.
Most head spa experiences focus on the scalp and hair. We love that part too.
But at VedaFusion, the experience begins somewhere deeper: with helping you arrive in the room, notice your body and give your attention somewhere to rest.
Leave feeling meditated — without needing to know how to meditate.
You don't have to force relaxation or clear your mind. Your practitioner provides gentle guidance throughout the experience, helping you notice sound, sensation, breath and stillness as they change.
Focus in. Expand. Return.
Notice. Wander. Return again.
A single-point Shirodhara stream gives your attention one clear place to land. As the stream begins to move, awareness is invited to follow. The movement gradually expands, crosses through center, and eventually returns again to a single point.
Singing bowls create another kind of anchor. Instead of simply hearing the sound, you are gently invited to follow it as it changes, softens and finally disappears into silence.
Warm Brahmi oil, marma-inspired touch, work with the hands and feet, breath awareness and intentional pauses continue that same rhythm throughout the treatment.
By the time the ritual closes, you haven't simply rested. You've had time to notice what rest actually feels like in your body.
It is time to become quiet enough to notice yourself again.

How Would You Like to Leave?
Leave With the Oils — or Wash Them Out
The traditional VedaFusion experience allows the
Brahmi and Ayurvedic oils to remain in your hair
after your ritual. Choosing to leave with the oils also means
more of your appointment can be spent inside the sensory experience —
with additional time for Shirodhara, marma-inspired touch,
reflexology, stillness and integration.
Prefer to leave with freshly washed hair? At
participating locations, you may choose a
complimentary shampoo and conditioning ritual instead.
Washing is always optional and takes place
after the Ayurvedic Head Spa ritual and reorientation,
within your selected appointment time.
Every VedaFusion Head Spa follows the same core ritual. Longer sessions simply give you more time to settle, receive and stay awhile.
A QUIETER KIND OF REST
Shirodhara: Warmth, Rhythm & Stillness
Shirodhara is an Ayurvedic practice in which a gentle, continuous stream of warm oil flows over the forehead. The steady warmth and repetition create a simple sensory experience that gives the mind less to follow and the body more room to settle.
Nothing to accomplish. Nothing to follow. Just warmth, repetition and space to settle.
The experience can also be adapted to what you are noticing that day.
Chosen when the mind feels busy, scattered or difficult to quiet.
Used when the experience feels heated, intense or overstimulated.
Selected when the mind feels dull, foggy or in need of gentle activation.
SOUND YOU CAN FEEL
Singing Bowls Bring Another Layer of Stillness
Sound becomes part of the Head Spa experience through gentle singing bowl tones and vibration woven throughout the session.
Unlike background music, the bowls create something you can notice physically as well as hear. Tone, vibration and silence become part of the sensory landscape, giving the body another way to orient and settle.
You do not need to meditate, visualize or concentrate. The sound is simply another layer of the experience — something you may hear, feel, or simply allow to move through the room around you.
Clear sound offers the mind a simple point of orientation.
Sound becomes something that may be sensed as well as heard.
The quiet between tones becomes part of the experience too.
Listen if you want to. Feel it if you notice it. Or simply rest.
SENSORY TRACING BODY INTEGRATION
What Did Your Body Notice?
Warm oil. Sound and vibration. Water. Scalp and marma-inspired touch. Stillness.
Throughout a Head Spa session, the sensory environment is changing — and your experience may change with it. Something that felt busy may become quiet. An area that felt tight may feel more spacious. A sensation may shift, move or simply become easier to notice.
Sensory Tracing Body Integration gives us a simple way to follow those changes without needing to analyze them or turn them into a story.
The method underneath the experience is Sensory Tracing.
A SIMPLE TRACE
There is nothing you are expected to produce. Awareness is enough.
A full Sensory Tracing Body Integration session gives us more time to follow what emerges.

Before You Book
A few things to know before your VedaFusion Head Spa experience.
What is an Ayurvedic Head Spa? +
A VedaFusion Ayurvedic Head Spa brings together Shirodhara, Brahmi scalp oiling, marma-inspired touch, singing bowls, reflexology and guided sensory awareness in one deeply relaxing ritual. Rather than focusing only on the hair and scalp, the experience invites the whole body and mind to settle.
Do I stay dressed? +
Yes. Your Head Spa experience is fully clothed. We recommend comfortable clothing so you can settle in easily. Because oils are used around the scalp, head, neck and upper chest, choose clothing you will not mind having near the treatment oils.
Do I need to have hair to enjoy a Head Spa? +
Not at all. Hair is optional. The VedaFusion Head Spa is a sensory relaxation ritual, not simply a hair treatment. Shirodhara, scalp and head touch, singing bowls, guided sensory awareness, marma-inspired relaxation techniques, hand and foot work and whole-body integration can all be enjoyed with long hair, short hair, thinning hair, a shaved head or no hair at all. The ritual is suitable for both men and women and is adapted to the person receiving it.
Will I leave with oil in my hair? +
You can. The traditional VedaFusion experience allows the Brahmi and Ayurvedic oils to remain in the hair and on the scalp after the ritual. Choosing the leave-in oil experience also allows more of your appointment time to be devoted to Shirodhara, marma-inspired touch, reflexology, stillness and integration. At participating locations, a complimentary shampoo and conditioning ritual may be selected instead.
If I choose shampoo and conditioning, will my hair be dried or styled? +
No. At participating locations, shampoo and conditioning may be chosen as an optional finish after your Head Spa ritual and reorientation. Your hair will be towel dried, but blow drying and styling are not included. The washing ritual takes place within your selected appointment time.
Do I need to know how to meditate, or understand Ayurveda or chakras? +
Not at all. No prior experience with meditation, Ayurveda, chakras or Sensory Tracing is needed. Your practitioner provides gentle guidance throughout the ritual, giving your attention somewhere to rest without asking you to try harder, quiet your mind or be “good” at relaxing. You can simply receive the experience and notice what you notice.
Can I receive a Head Spa while pregnant? +
Pregnancy may require modifications, so please let us know that you are pregnant before your appointment. Reflexology is not included during pregnancy and will be replaced with other appropriate relaxation techniques. We will also consider positioning, timing and any relevant contraindications so the ritual can be appropriately adapted for you.
Is this a Japanese Head Spa? +
No. VedaFusion offers an Ayurvedic-inspired Head Spa with its own sensory-relaxation approach. If you have been searching for a Japanese Head Spa, this offers a different experience centered around Shirodhara, Ayurvedic oiling, sound, intentional touch and guided sensory awareness.
